Dianthus petraeus ssp. noeanus

For the foliage alone, this is among my favorite plants. It has tight foliage buns in a good darker green which is set up with intensely fragrant snow white frilly blossoms in midsummer. Although dianthus prefer a more alkaline soil, we haven't added lime to our generally acidic soil.
