Clematis  'Arabella' Clematis 'Arabella'
Sun 2-3" blooms Zone 4-9 NEW!  A superb Clematis integrifolia hybrid having mid blue blossoms and sparkling cream anthers, displayed from June to October in abundance. Arabella is a non-clinging type which can be trained on a trellis or allowed to scramble in the perennial garden or on a small tree or shrub. Arabella originated in England and is a PG3 type. $ 14.95

Clematis 'Mongolian Bells'
10-14" tall Sun Zone 3-9 NEW!  A very compact clematis originating from Inner Mongolia, reaching only 12-14" tall. It comes in a spectrum of colors, including pink, white, lavender, and blue. It has the same bell shape and petal textural appear as integrifolia -- only smaller. An extending bloom time beginning in May to September. Attractive seed heads. (PG3) $ 15.95
Clematis  'Paul Farges' Clematis 'Paul Farges'
10-15' tall Sun 1-1/2" blooms Zone 3 NEW!  Summer Snow' has masses of creamy-white star like 1-1/2" slightly scented flowers mid-summer to mid fall on vigorous vines -- a truly spectacular scene when in full blossom during mid to late summer. It is a hybrid of C. potaninii var. potaninii x vitalba from the Ukraine. No pruning is required as blooms appear on the previous years growth -- giving it a particularly long bloom time. That is, you will get blooms on the vines from the previous year plus blooms on the new growth. You can, then, hard prune or light prune. 'Paul Farges' is another clematis we selected for the tall arbor. Not only has it reached the top but it is on the horizontal bars. The foliage endures hard frosts staying green for weeks when most other plants were gone. (PG3) $ 15.95
Clematis  'Sir Trevor Lawrence' Clematis 'Sir Trevor Lawrence'
8-10' tall Sun/Part Shade 2" blooms Zone 4-9 NEW!  Considered one of the loveliest of the C. texensis selections with its tulip shaped outward facing blooms of crimson red on the inner side of the tepals and bright scarlet at the center. When fully open it exposes attractive contrasting yellow anthers on creamy filaments. It blooms from midsummer to autumn. PG3 $ 14.95
Clematis 'Wyevale'
4-5' tall Sun/Part Shade clusters Zone 5-9 NEW!  We find the very blue, highly perfumed blossoms of this tuberlosa selection to be treasured for its attractiveness presenting exceptional usefulness in a mid border position. Dusky blue bells in short auxiliary clusters in quantity in mid to late summer, followed by pretty silky haired seed heads. $ 15.95

Clematis alpina 'Pink Flamingo' Clematis alpina 'Pink Flamingo'
6-8' Sun/Part Shade 1-1/2" blooms Zone 3-9 NEW!  This early blossoming species presents soft pink multi-flowers which offer a semi double appearance, a deeper pink is at the base of the flower and radiates through the veins. Abundant flowers begins in very early spring through June and may rebloom. Silky seed heads follow the flowers offering an additional element of interest. Clematis 'Avant Garde' Clematis 'Avant Garde'
9-10' tall Sun/Part Shade 2-3" blooms Zone 4-8 The small flowers of this striking climber are dark velvety red and have a central pompom of rosy pink petals giving it the double flowered appearance. The petite foliage is a plus. It is suitable for trellis placement, mingling with rose and small shrubs and pot culture. Flowering begins is summer and continues on into fall. We have a specimen growing on an obelisk in our south display garden and sold out early last year. In spite of spending some time in the shade, it's performance was good. $ 15.95

6-10' tall Sun/Part Shade 2" blooms Zone 4-11 NEW!  Of the Clematis texensis types, this is a favorite, with erect substantive, tulip like flowers of rich pink with lighter marbling displayed along the vigorous stems throughout mid summer. 5' tall Sun Zone 4-9 This non-vining, selection of Clematis, perfect for the mid border where it will explore the stems of border companions and present among their foliage and flowers. Superb large, indigo-blue flowers with deeply textured mid-ribs along each tepal. We are growing 'Durandii' on our trellised pergola in our display garden and fully enjoy the abundant flowers all summer long. A wonderful heirloom originating in France in the 1800's. $ 14.95

Clematis integrifolia Clematis integrifolia
1-3' Sun Zone 3-9 Among my most favorite plants with blooms beginning in June and continuing into September. Wonderful blue down facing bell type flowers composed of 4 petals that have a wonderful twist and pleating adding additional textural qualities. The blue flowers have a central tuft of white staminodes. Seed heads are attractive as well. This takes a few years to develop into an almost shrub like quality. When it has reached some size, you will want to provide support as we have. $ 14.95
Clematis 'Lanuginosa Candida' Clematis 'Lanuginosa Candida'
6-9' tall Sun 7-9" blooms Zone 4-9 NEW!  Large and stunning white flowers. So abundant are the petals that give it has a semi double appearance. It is centered with an eye of yellow anthers. Flowers in June, July, and September. Great grower and may get taller than described. It was discovered in China in the 1800's during a collecting expedition for the Royal Horticultural Society. It was introduced in 1850. It is considered by many to be the best white flowering clematis. PG2 $ 14.95

Clematis 'Mrs. Robert Brydon'
Sun Small Zone 4-9 We grow the very distinctive Clematis x jouiniana 'Mrs. Robert Brydo in the "ditch" created nby a bridge connecting the pond garden and the multiple gardens surrounding our home. We allow it freedom to roam the area, which it does meekly while presenting pale blue flowers among other garden residents. $ 15.95

Wisteria 'Blue Moon'

CLEMATIS PRUNING INFORMATION - KEY FOR PG1, PG2, PG3
Pruning Group 1 (PG1)
Flowers are produced on old, ripened wood. This type needs little or no pruning. If overgrown, but back and tidy up after the main flowering period has ended.
Pruning Group 2 (PG2)
Produces 2 flushes of flowers - the first on old ripened growth from the previous year, the second during late summer on current year's growth. All dead and weak stems should be removed in late spring. If selective pruning is necessary, do it immediately after the early flowering period of over, working from the top of the plant down. Also prune back the flowered shoots to encourage re-blooming,
Pruning Group 3 (PG3)
Clematis which flower on the current year's new growth in early summer. Do annual pruning in early spring, cutting back all the old stems to the lowest pair of live buds.
