The small flowers of this striking climber are dark velvety red and have a central pompom of rosy pink petals giving it the double flowered appearance. The petite foliage is a plus. It is suitable for trellis placement, mingling with rose and small shrubs and pot culture. Flowering begins is summer and continues on into fall. We have a specimen growing on an obelisk in our south display garden and sold out early last year. In spite of spending some time in the shade, it's performance was good.
