Clematis viticella 'Royal Velours'

A superb offering originally introduced early in the last century and granted an Award of Garden Merit. The deep velvety reddish-purple to blackish purple flowers are comprised of 4 deeply veined petals and produced in abundance in late summer. RHS Award of Garden Merit recipient.
